GENERAL INFORMATION

 

This is a program designed for those in need of a change in environment or those that are simply taking some time out to not only tour the UK but earn some cash while they are at it. They also get to experience the very versatile style of life and culture in the UK while making friends. So whether you are looking to stay for 3 months, 6 months or even a year, Work experience UK is worth your while.

We offer placements all over the UK in a variety of industries including but not limited to: catering & hospitality, agriculture and Industrial.

 

Things that can’t be bargained about

 

  • Candidates must be between the ages of 18- 38 years.
  • Candidates must be EU citizens and carry a valid EU passport or ID as the case may be or be holders of a 2 year work/holiday visa.
  • Candidates having relevant experience will be considered prior to others.
  • Candidates must be all out and ready to resume one week after receiving and accepting a job offer.
  • Candidates must be able to cover daily expenses as the case may be, for the first 2-3 weeks. This is in their best interest.
  • Candidates must be able to communicate in English. To ensure this, we shall interview potential candidates in a way we deem fit.

 

Things we absolutely need from you

 

  • A detailed EURO CV with a coloured photo (it helps for a great placement if a potential employer sees what you look like).
  • A short cover letter for the position applied for.
  • 2 references from 2 previous employers or educational institution.
  • A photocopy of a current passport.

Things you get as part of the program

 

  • Acknowledgement of your documents.
  • Admittance of your documents into our database.
  • Examining and processing your documents to achieve a profile.
  • Assistance with finding your potential employer in the UK to fit your profile.
  • A UK SIM card for an easy flow of communication.
  • Advice and guidance during your period as an employee in the UK to include assistance with Workers Registration Scheme, NI number and Bank Account.

Things not included in the program

 

  • Your flight/coach trip to the UK or to your final UK destination.
  • A pick up at the airport on the day of arrival.
  • Health/Accident Insurance
  • Accommodation
  • Personal expenses

 

Things you need to know

 

  • The program fee is GBP 200
  • New EU members need to register under the Workers Registration Scheme with Home Office in a month after they resume work in the UK.
  • Most Employers provide accommodation for a fee, it ranges from GBP 30 – 55 and is usually deducted from your earnings, however in some cases you might need to pay for your own accommodation. There are also placements where free accommodation and free meals or a subsidized canteen are included. Whichever case it may be, UK PLACEMENT shall let you know ahead of your trip.

Things you might find useful

 

  • Check that your ID card /Passport will not expire during your stay in the UK.
  • Do a search about the area you will be working so as to get a feel of the place.
  • It is strongly advised to bring with you some cash to take care of your daily needs before you get your first salary.
  • In cases where a particular kind of clothing is necessary, do make sure that you bring the relevant clothes along.
  • Confirm your arrival date, time and place before departure.

 

HOW TO APPLY:

 

  • Fill in the application form and send to us together with all relevant documents and the administrative fee of GBP 50.
  • Get a job offer (allow up to 1 month) and your invoice for the WORK EXPERIENCE UK program fee.
  • Sign your job offer and send us a scanned copy of it together with the proof of payment (POP) for the program fee.
  • Get all necessary details regarding your employer and travel direction.
  • Confirm your arrival date, time and place before you leave your country of residence. This is very important! As a failure to do this might result in the employer not being ready to receive you.
  • Finally- HAVE A GOOD TRIP!
