Au Pair in Ireland - Recruitment process

In order to find a suitable family for you, we need the following documents from you (see menu Documents):

• Application Form
• Signed Au Pair Agreement Form
• Letter to your future host family, describing yourself, your family, your hobbies and life-style, your reasons for becoming an au pair and your reasons for choosing the specific country
• Character Reference to be filled out preferably by a teacher or someone who knows you from a non-private setting, i.e. no family members or friends
• Childcare References the more, the better
• Photographs of you preferably with children. You may also create a little photo-album with pictures of you and your family, you and your friends, you and the children you looked after etc.
• Medical Check from your doctor, with translation.
• Police Check Police Clearance Form from local police, with translation.

1. Please fill out the application form and send it via mail to us along with the other required documents (see above).

2. We contact you once we received the documents to clarify possible questions.

3. We look through our family files and propose you to suitable families (depending on the preferred age of children, indicated area etc.).

4. We contact you and explain about the family. If you are interested, we send the family's details to you, so you can check their file and think about it.

5. You tell us what you think. If you agree, we set up a telephone interview/chat with the family. The family calls you at the set time/day and both of you can get to know each other a little, clarify questions etc. ! Please write down a list of questions you have for the family before the telephone call. One usually forgets all the questions in the excitement!

6. Tell us what you think. Would you like to go to that family? Do you have doubts about anything? Would you rather wait for another family?
a) Should you agree to go to the proposed family, you can book your flight (we can assist with that). Important: Please let us know your flight details, so we can send them to the family!
b) Should you decide to rather wait for another proposal, we look for another family.

7. Cost of the programme: 450 PLN (after choosing the host family).
